Fake It is a social party game that lets friends play together in real time. We designed the App to require no account registration — you can start playing immediately with a display name and a room code. Because of this, we collect minimal personal information.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

2.1 Information you provide

• Display name — a nickname you choose when joining a game room. This is not linked to your real identity.
• Game activity — clues, votes, and room participation stored temporarily to run multiplayer sessions.

2.2 Automatically collected information

• Anonymous identifier — we use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign a random user ID so you can join rooms without signing up.
• Device and usage data — through Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymized data such as app opens, screen views, and in-app events to understand how the App is used and improve it.
• Advertising data — through Google AdMob, we may show interstitial ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
• Remote configuration — we use Firebase Remote Config to deliver app settings (such as minimum version requirements) without requiring an app update.
• Crash and performance data — standard diagnostic data may be collected by our hosting and analytics providers to maintain app stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Enable real-time multiplayer gameplay across devices
• Authenticate anonymous sessions and manage game rooms
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
• Analyze app usage and improve features, performance, and stability
• Enforce minimum app version requirements and deliver critical updates
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Remote Config) — Firebase Privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — AdMob & Privacy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — when you download the App, standard store policies apply.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Game room data (rooms, players, clues, votes) is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore and is retained only as long as needed to operate active and recent game sessions. Rooms may be automatically cleaned up after periods of inactivity. Anonymous authentication identifiers persist on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data.

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Firebase. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Fake It is rated for general audiences (4+). The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to or deletion of data associated with your use of the App
• Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (iOS: Limit Ad Tracking; Android: Opt out of Ads Personalization)
• Disable analytics by limiting ad tracking on your device, where supported by the platform
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by uninstalling the App

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
